In this piece, one of my favorite works (Do not touch!) was painted, being
consumed by flames. This image is not about destruction, but transformation,
taking an act of burning to make a way for what comes next. As time passes, I
grow, and often look back on my past works with regret, reflection, and even
embarrassment. Those feelings are not failures, but a necessary part of making
art. Regret can be a powerful driver of a new form.
