Over the Pixels

In painting, texture and materiality are just as important as the image itself.
Recently, there has been much debate over whether digital painting and AI art will
replace traditional hand-drawn art.
I strongly disagree with this notion. No matter how advanced digital painting tools
become or AI art evolves, they cannot fully make the texture and materiality of a
physical painting.
This conviction led to creating the same image both digitally and by hand, actively
comparing their textures and materialities.
